Embracing Transformation with Matangi Mudra
Oct 19, 2025
As we move from the New Moon in Libra into the deeper waters of Scorpio season, it’s a powerful time to set intentions that support emotional digestion, inner strength, and renewal.
This week’s anchor tool, Matangi Mudra, is the shape of power, passion, and determination and helps us digest life experiences and emotions so our energy can flow freely again.
β¨ Why Practice It
Matangi Mudra helps us reconnect with our inner fire — the part of us that knows how to transform and rise stronger.
It supports the digestive and nervous systems while balancing the solar plexus chakra, our center of confidence and vitality.
Benefits:
β Strengthen and support the digestive organs
β Help digest and release emotional tension
β Build confidence, determination, and self-trust
β Reignite energy when you feel drained or disconnect
β Balance the Manipura Chakra (solar plexus), the seat of your personal power
It’s a beautiful reminder that transformation begins within — one breath, one moment, one choice at a time.
π«Ά How to Practice It
β Find a comfortable seat, either on a chair or on the on the floor. You can elevate your hips on a pillow or folded blanket for support.
β Form the mudra. Interlace your fingers, wrapping your right thumb over your left. Extend both middle fingers so they touch and point upward.
β Place the mudra in front of your solar plexus, just above your navel.
β Relax your shoulders and lengthen your spine.
β Invitation to close your eyes or softly gaze toward the tips of your middle fingers.
π§βοΈ Breath + Meditation
β Once you’ve found the mudra, begin to breathe slowly and deeply through your nose.
β Inhale deeply through the nose, allowing each in-breath fill to fill your belly and expand your ribs.
β With each exhale through the nose, feel your belly soften and return to center.
β Continue for 3 to 5 minutes.
ποΈ Breath + Meditation
β¨ “I transform anger and fear and connect with my inner power.”
π To End
β Take a deep inhale.
β Lift your arms overhead, reaching your middle fingers toward the sky.
β If you can, hold the breath briefly, then exhale and release the mudra.
β Sit quietly for another moment and allow the breath to come back to its natural rhythm.
β Notice how you feel, welcoming any physical sensations.
πΏ Closing Reflection
Mudras remind us that healing doesn’t always require more time — just a moment of awareness and our own two hands.
They’re simple gestures that can shift energy, calm the mind, and bring you back into the present moment — even in the middle of a busy day.
So next time you find yourself scrolling on your phone, pause and try Matangi Mudra instead. And simply notice how it feels in your body.
These small moments of awareness help your body remember what ease and flow feel like — and your nervous system will thank you for it.
