Vajrapradama Mudra — The Mudra of Unshakable Trust
Sep 28, 2025
As we move through Libra season (September 29 – October 5), we are invited to explore balance, harmony, and trust.
This is where Vajrapradama Mudra, the Mudra of Unshakable Trust, becomes our anchor. Practicing this gesture helps us connect with inner strength and resilience, reminding us that true balance begins inside.
Why practice Vajrapradama Mudra:
This mudra supports you when life feels shaky or when your confidence wavers. It strengthens your core self and encourages you to lean into trust — trust in yourself, trust in life, and trust in your ability to meet challenges as they arise.
It is especially helpful when you…
✨ Need a boost of self-confidence.
✨ Feel insecure or filled with self-doubt.
✨ Are overwhelmed by hardships or negative thoughts.
✨ Struggle with sleep or find your mind racing at night.
✨ Want to build a deeper sense of self-trust and inner calm.
By holding this mudra, you remind your whole system that you are supported, safe, and capable of moving through life with more ease. On a deeper level, interlacing the fingers creates a kind of loop within the body that supports the continuous flow of energy. This gentle circuit can calm the mind, help quiet negative thoughts, and allow you to gain clarity and focus. Holding this mudra is a reminder of your inner power — helping you release insecurity and return to self-compassion.
How to practice Vajrapradama Mudra:
You can practice this mudra anywhere — seated in meditation, standing tall, or even during a mindful walk.
✨ Sit comfortably on the floor or in a chair, or stand with your feet rooted.
✨ Bring your hands in front of your chest.
✨ Interlace your fingers loosely, palms facing your body.
✨ Extend your thumbs upward toward the sky.
✨ Rest your hands lightly at the heart center with your elbows soft to the sides
✨ Keep your spine tall and your shoulders relaxed.
✨ If it feels safe, close your eyes and bring your awareness to your breath
Meditation & Breath:
✨ Begin to slow and deepen the breath.
✨ As you inhale feel the belly rise, breathing in trust.
✨ As you exhale, release any negative thoughts, tension, and doubt.
✨ Continue for 3 to 5 minutes.
Mantra:
✨ I trust myself, my path, and my ability to overcome any obstacles.
To End:
Stay with the mudra for as long as it feels nourishing.
When you’re ready, release your hands and open your eyes softly, carrying this sense of trust and strength with you into the rest of your day.
Practicing Vajrapradama Mudra this week is a simple yet powerful way to align with Libra’s call for balance — not by searching for it outside of yourself, but by remembering it already lives within you. Try this simple practice to ease stress, quiet self doubt, calm the mind and return to trust — and notice how it feels in your body.
